We’ve known since August that Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will officially open at Walt Disney World on July 1, 2027, but Disney just shared another batch of details about the new Bay Lake resort. This time, we’re getting our first look at Branch & Brush, a new lounge just beyond the main lobby, along with the dates guests can begin booking their stays.
Branch & Brush will overlook Bay Lake and serve handcrafted cocktails in a space inspired by the changing seasons. One of its standout features will be a colorful chandelier designed to shift through all four seasons.
There’s also some important booking news. Disney Vacation Club members can begin making rental reservations October 6, followed by Walt Disney World Annual Passholders on October 7. Reservations open to all guests on October 8.
A New Lounge Is Coming to the Lobby
One of the newest reveals is Branch & Brush, a lounge located just beyond the main lobby overlooking Bay Lake. The space will serve handcrafted cocktails in a setting inspired by the changing seasons, including a colorful chandelier designed to shift through the four seasons.
The lobby itself looks like it could become one of the resort’s biggest draws. Floor-to-ceiling windows will look out toward Bay Lake, while a fiber-optic “river” runs through the floor. Overhead, guests will find a suspended glass sculpture inspired by “Colors of the Wind.”
Disney says the lobby takes inspiration from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Pocahontas, with natural materials, artwork and other details woven throughout the space.

Lake Houses Make Their Disney World Debut
Among the resort’s most interesting accommodations are the new waterfront Lake Houses, which will be exclusive to Lakeshore Lodge.
The freestanding A-frame accommodations will feature large windows, private porches, full kitchens, and washers and dryers. One-bedroom Lake Houses will sleep up to five guests, while the two-bedroom version accommodates up to eight. Inside, look for artwork inspired by Brother Bear and a Northern Lights-inspired lighting feature in the primary bedroom.
Other rooms throughout the resort will draw inspiration from several Disney films. Duo studios will feature touches from Encanto, deluxe studios and one- and two-bedroom villas will take cues from Bambi, and three-bedroom grand villas will be inspired by Fantasia. Resort studios will continue the Pocahontas influence found in the lobby.
Club-level guests will have access to The Artist’s Nest, a concierge lounge located above the tree line with views of Magic Kingdom fireworks. The resort’s two-bedroom Hidden Willow Presidential Suite will also include access to the lounge.
Dining, a Lazy River and More
Lakeshore Lodge will bring several new dining options to Bay Lake. Moonglade will be the resort’s table-service restaurant, while Bay Lake Provisions will handle quick-service meals, specialty coffee and grab-and-go options. Paint Out Point Bar & Grill will serve food and specialty drinks near the pool.
Guests will also be able to head to Dandelion Terrace for views of Magic Kingdom fireworks. The lounge will feature a two-story collection of archival Disney artwork along with dandelion-inspired lighting.
And then there’s the recreation area.
The Wetlands will include children’s climbing and water-play areas along with the Daydream River, a lazy river winding through the resort grounds. The zero-entry Lakeshore Lagoon feature pool will have a spiral waterslide, while Cypress Point will offer a quieter leisure pool and whirlpool spa.
With an official opening date now on the calendar, we’re less than a year away from seeing Disney’s newest Walt Disney World resort come to life along Bay Lake.
