Fireworks Return to Celestial Goodnight at Epic Universe
On September 14, several social media users commented on the disappearance of fireworks at the show, which debuted in July 2026. The official Universal Orlando account replied to several of these posts, confirming that the Celestial Goodnight fireworks were “temporarily unavailable” due to “a technical issue.”
Just a little over two weeks later, and aerial photographer bioreconstruct and several other social media users have confirmed that fireworks returned to the October 1 show. One user shared a 24-second clip of the fireworks:
Universal announced the addition of fireworks to Epic Universe in June, after the company began hiring fireworks technicians and installing equipment along the park’s fireworks launch peninsula. Fireworks were tested at the park before it opened in May 2025, but it wasn’t until July 2026 that fireworks officially became part of the park’s nighttime show.

Before Universal Celestial Goodnight, the Epic Universe nightly show was the Cosmos Fountain Show, upon which much of the new spectacle was built.
