Ozzy Osbourne’s son Jack Osbourne recently honored his late father most fittingly: he and his daughter became scareactors in the Prince of Darkness’s maze at Universal Studios Hollywood’s Halloween Horror Nights.
Jack & Pearl Osbourne Get the Scareactor Experience
In the video posted to the official Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights Instagram account, Jack Osbourne and his daughter Pearl arrive backstage to be transformed into Prince of Darkness minions for a scareactor shift in the maze based on the music legend’s repertoire.
Jack remarks that as soon as his dad’s maze was confirmed for Halloween Horror Nights, he promised Pearl that they would participate.
Backstage, they were enrobed in blood-spattered vestments and donned balaclavas and bat masks to play Prince of Darkness minions.
They were placed in the graveyard room flanking the elaborate bat animatronic, which holds Ozzy’s decapitated head as an homage to the infamous 1982 incident in which the Black Sabbath frontman bit the head off a bat live onstage in Iowa.
A montage shows guests walking through the room as Jack and Pearl stand perfectly still, strategically lunging at guests as they pass by and eliciting screams of delight. They remark on how fun it was to see guests’ reactions to thinking they were statues before taking a group photo with the Werewolf Ozzy scareactors.

Ozzy Osbourne & Halloween Horror Nights
John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne was an English singer-songwriter dubbed the “Prince of Darkness,” who pioneered the heavy metal genre. He co-founded and was the lead vocalist of the band Black Sabbath. Though he was fired from the band in 1979, he reunited with them several times and pursued a solo career. He passed away at age 76 in 2025.
He previously appeared as a character, along with the rest of his family, in the Bill & Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure show during Halloween Horror Nights: Islands of Fear (2002). Black Sabbath also inspired the house Black Sabbath: 13-3D at Halloween Horror Nights 2013 in Universal Studios Hollywood.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood is September 3 through November 1, 2026. Check out our full guide to Halloween Horror Nights.
