The new solar-powered trash cans installed at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure have apparently been removed, and the attraction’s original unpowered cans have returned to the queue.
Original Trash Cans Return to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

These traditional cans were installed during the attraction’s construction in 2024 and remained in use when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened that June.
In July 2026, they were replaced by Magic Kingdom’s first solar-powered trash cans. The new units featured solar panels across their curved tops, built-in compactors, foot pedals for hands-free operation, and exterior styling designed to complement the Tiana’s Foods setting.
While their style is largely inconspicuous, the brown bins do feature a small touch of theming, with a roundel on the waste bin that reads “Help Keep Our Bayou Clean”, depicting a bird among bayou vegetation.
Disney initially installed three of the solar-powered units in the attraction’s outdoor queue. Additional cans later arrived, including a pair near the adjacent restrooms and another farther along the queue near the gift shops.

The older, non-powered cans are now back in place where at least some of the upgraded units previously stood. Disney has not announced why the solar-powered cans were removed or whether they will eventually return.
