Anaheim Authorities Confront Disneyland ‘Bird Man’ Known for Soliciting Tourists With Exotic Birds

A man known for approaching Disneyland Resort visitors with exotic birds was recently confronted by an Anaheim code enforcement officer near the resort.

Code Enforcement Officer Asks ‘Bird Man’ to Fly Away

TikTok user @carolinekingdom shared a video of the man arguing with an officer wearing a City of Anaheim Code Enforcement uniform. The scene appears to have unfolded near the Disneyland Resort gate along the walkway next to the Harbor Boulevard drop-off and pick-up zone.

While the brief video does not show what preceded the confrontation, the officer appears to direct the man to leave the area. The man responds defiantly, ultimately declaring that he will continue returning “all the f—ing time.”

The man carries three birds during the encounter, including two macaws and one cockatoo, which he reportedly places on tourists for photographs before requesting money.

Several commenters on the video described regularly encountering the man along Harbor Boulevard, including outside the CVS Pharmacy near Katella Avenue and around a nearby Denny’s restaurant. Other comments claim that the same man has solicited Disneyland visitors for photo ops with his birds for more than a decade.

One commenter alleged that he placed a bird on them without permission as they left the park and then requested a tip. Another response from user @sydneyleeannheim shared a photo of herself covered with several birds, alleging that the man placed the animals on her quickly, without her consent, before attempting to solicit a “donation.”

More users shared similar allegations, describing the man as forceful when placing birds on guests’ shoulders or claiming that he would prevent people from walking away until they paid. Others expressed concerns about the animals’ treatment, including allegations that they were often seen outside for extended periods in hot weather without food or water.

Online discussions indicate that the man has frequented the Disneyland Resort area for several years. In a 2019 discussion about walking along Harbor Boulevard, one Disneyland visitor identified a “bird man” as a regular vendor near the resort.
