Disney has shared the keel-laying commemorative coin for the Disney Believe, the newest ship joining the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

Disney Believe Keel Laying Coin

Designed by Imagineering, this commemorative coin marks the ship’s keel laying ceremony, one of shipbuilding’s most celebrated traditions. A keel laying ceremony marks the formal beginning of a ship’s construction.

One side of the bronze-tone coin features the Disney Believe, and the other features Tinker Bell. Tinker Bell will be incorporated into the golden filigree decorating the bow of the Disney Believe.

More details about the ship will be shared this week, including the livestream which takes place on Wednesday, October 7, at 4:30 p.m. EST.

The Believe is “inspired by promise, possibility, and what lies beyond the horizon.” When the name was announced, Disney teased theming inspired by Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, Moana, and The Little Mermaid. The announcement video for the livestream also includes characters from Inside Out, Big Hero 6, Zootopia, Monsters, Inc., and Tangled.

Set to launch in 2027, the Disney Believe will be the fourth Wish-class ship following the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny.
