Disney Cruise Line features dedicated storytellers as part of its immersive live entertainment lineup on some of the ships. The Disney Believe will have two storytellers, named Hugo and Beatrice.
Disney Believe Storytellers: Hugo and Beatrice
Hugo and Beatrice are members of the Society of Seekers, a group of adventurers that explore beyond the horizon and search for stories. They join two other groups of storytellers on other Disney Cruise Line Ships:
Hugo wears a red shirt, green vest, and plaid pants. A hat and gloves complete his look. Beatrice wears a white shirt, orange vest, red cape, and blue pants. She wears gloves and carries a book.
During our media cruise, the duo shared some advice and tips on how to complete the scavenger hunts we were sent on.
For example, they encouraged us to remember that answers may be hiding in plain sight, and to shift our perspective to look at things differently.
The first scavenger hunt led us to a beverage, which may be introduced on one of the venues. The clear liquid sits inside a small fishbowl-like glass with ice.
Servers create a smoke bubble on top.
Disney Believe
The Disney Believe is “inspired by promise, possibility, and what lies beyond the horizon.” It will launch in 2027 with a Grand Hall featuring Moana statue, Tinker Bell on the bow, and Buzz and Woody on the stern.
The ship is being assembled at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. The first “gigablock” floated out in September. The ship just had its keel laying ceremony and revealed the commemorative coin.
It is the fourth Wish-class ship following the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. This means it’s the same size and shape as these ships, with the same layout but different theming.
A fifth Wish-class ship operated by Tokyo Disney Resort owners Oriental Land Company will begin sailing out of Japan in 2029. A class of smaller ships will also begin launching in 2029.
