Walt Disney’s plane is now on display to the general public for the first time in Palm Springs, California.
Walt Disney’s Plane Now on Display
In May, the Walt Disney Archives shared photos of Walt Disney’s plane, The Mouse, on Instagram. They shared a look inside the aircraft, showing the restored interior that was brought back to what it looked like when Walt last flew on board in the 1960s.
Walt Disney’s Grumman Gulfstream I aircraft has been on loan to the Palm Springs Air Museum since 2022 and was unveiled to D23 members for a look inside.
Now, the plane will be on display for the general public to view at the Palm Springs Air Museum during murseum hours.
If you want a closer look at The Mouse, you can purchase tickets for an exclusive interior tour during the evenings. Tickets are $65 for the general public and $50 for museum members.
Each tour is two hours and includes a guided tour of the plane’s interior, light refreshments, and a speech from a special speaker with close ties to the aircraft or the Walt Disney Company.
Guest speakers include
- Mark Malone & Ed Ovalle (October 17, 2026)
- Becky Cline (January 16, 2027)
- Walt Disney Archives Team Member (February 20, 2027 & April 3, 2027)
- Bob Gurr (March 6, 2027)
On the exclusive tour, guests have the opportunity to purchase merchandise for Walt Disney’s plane and a tour-exclusive T-shirt.
