There are very few more iconic things to do at Disney World than watch the nighttime fireworks explode over Cinderella Castle. For over 55 years, this tableau has come to define the Disney World experience for generations to come, but for 12 nights in November, the fireworks are CANCELED!
Now, there will still be fireworks shows every night, but these won’t be for everyone. The Happily Ever After fireworks show is the main spectacular for the Magic Kingdom, but it won’t show for nearly HALF of November… Here’s why!
November will see the 2026 debut of the ever-popular Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This specially ticketed event offers guests who purchase party tickets the opportunity to experience special entertainment, snacks, atmosphere, and more at the Magic Kingdom from 7 PM to midnight!
However, that also means that on party nights the park closes at 6 PM for guests without party tickets, which means no late dinner reservations, no Starlight: Dream the Night Away Parade, and arguably most importantly, no showings of the Happily Ever After fireworks. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party begins November 8th. Further November dates: 9th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 24th, 25th, 27th and 29th.
However, just because there’s no Happily Ever After doesn’t mean there are no fireworks. One of the highlights of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show!
This always dazzling seasonal extravaganza features “festive colors to the tune of some of your favorite carols like Deck the Halls and We Wish You a Merry Christmas” along with Holiday projections!
In addition to Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, the event will also offer special presentations including Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Club Tinsel, and Disney Junior Jingle Jam, photo opportunities with characters, exclusive treats, and tasty cookie and cocoa spots offering complimentary snacks and drinks to enjoy throughout the party! Plus, several Magic Kingdom attractions will offer special Holiday overlays including:
- Space Mountain will feature “high-energy holiday tunes and festive interior lighting.”
- The Tomorrowland Speedway transforms into Tomorrowland Speedway Race, which is “filled with thousands of lights, stylized décor, and a fun, futuristic holiday soundtrack.”
- The Mad Tea Party becomes a “wild and wacky Christmas party––where you can spin your teacup to one of 4 holiday combos of lights and music.”
- Jungle Cruise transforms into the Jingle Cruise, a version of the classic “packed with holiday-themed puns.” Of note, the Jingle Cruise can be enjoyed during the party or all day long at the Magic Kingdom.
- Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor puts “some ‘ha ha ha’ in their ‘ho ho ho’ with a seasonal show.”
Of course, all of these offerings (outside the Jingle Cruise) — including Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks — are exclusive to party guests.
But don’t worry! If you’re at Disney World in November without party tickets, you can still see fireworks! Luminous: The Symphony of Us will still be showing, weather permitting, at EPCOT each evening. While it’s arguably not quite as well-known as watching fireworks over the castle, seeing the skies over the World Showcase Lagoon light up is arguably just as iconic. Plus, November features the final days of the 2026 Food & Wine Festival and the earliest dates of the International Festival of the Holidays.
One final Happily Ever After note: While non-Very Merry Christmas Party nights will still offer the Happily Ever After fireworks throughout November, the show will take place at 8 PM each evening, much earlier than most guests are likely used to.
Guests hoping to see Happily Ever After at the Magic Kingdom this November need to do some careful planning, as there are 12 nights without a show! Stay tuned to DFB for more coverage of Disney World’s schedule!
