Apparently, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is going all-in on holiday attraction overlays this year!
Hot on the heels of today’s news that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is getting its own holiday overlay, Disney has quietly revealed another seasonal addition. Alien Swirling Saucers in Toy Story Land will feature a special holiday playlist from November 4, 2026, through January 6, 2027.
The holiday music will be part of Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams, the recently updated version of the attraction’s soundtrack featuring Lilypad from Toy Story 5 as its resident DJ.
Lilypad officially took over the turntables at Alien Swirling Saucers on September 25, bringing a new mix of reimagined Toy Story songs and original music to the attraction. Disney Imagineers recorded the soundtrack with musicians in Nashville, incorporating everything from pop and country to EDM and alternative rock.
Now DJ Lilypad is getting into the Christmas spirit, too.
Four Holiday Songs Coming to Alien Swirling Saucers
Beginning November 4, guests spinning around with the Little Green Men will hear new holiday takes on four festive songs:
- “Deck the Halls”
- “Toyland”
- “Swirling, Swirling, Saucers”
- “Joy to the Swirl”
I’m already laughing at “Joy to the Swirl.” It’s exactly the sort of ridiculous attraction-specific Christmas song we didn’t know we needed.
The holiday playlist gives Disney’s Hollywood Studios yet another attraction with seasonal entertainment this year. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay also begins November 4 and runs through January 6, complete with its own holiday set list featuring The Electric Mayhem.
Between The Muppets rocking out for Christmas and Lilypad spinning holiday remixes over in Toy Story Land, Hollywood Studios is suddenly becoming quite the place for holiday music this year.
And unlike the larger September announcement about Lilypad’s arrival, this holiday playlist is brand-new information tucked into Disney’s earlier post, so guests visiting between November 4 and January 6 have another seasonal addition to put on their list.
