“Disney Seas the Adventure,” an original stage show created for Disney Cruise Line’s Wish class of ships, will return for performances aboard the Disney Believe.
‘Disney Seas the Adventure’ on Disney Believe
The musical will be presented in the Walt Disney Theatre, featuring appearances by several beloved Disney and Pixar characters and performances of iconic songs. “Disney Seas the Adventure” debuted aboard the Disney Wish and is also performed on the Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny, and Disney Adventure.
The story begins when Captain Minnie Mouse hands control of the ship to Goofy, who must learn how to keep the vessel on course.
Goofy’s journey takes him through several Disney and Pixar stories. Tiana teaches him about the value of hard work during “Almost There” from The Princess and the Frog, while Crush and Squirt encourage him to “Go with the Flow” in a number originating from “Finding Nemo — The Musical.”
The show traditionally serves as a welcome-aboard production on the first night of Wish-class sailings. Disney has not yet announced whether any scenes, characters, or musical numbers will be changed for the Disney Believe.
A new poster for the production was shared by Disney Parks Blog alongside a slew of other Disney Believe announcements. The new poster features Captain Minnie and Goofy positioned at a ship’s helm against a backdrop of a stylized Disney Cruise Line vessel with a silhouette of Tinker Bell flying overhead. The graphic and show title, “Seas the Adventure!”, is set within an ornate gold frame, which itself features a Walt Disney Theatre label and Disney Believe graphic on bottom.
More details about the Disney Believe were shared among today’s announcements, including new entertainment offerings, dining venues, and an updated take on Disney Cruise Line’s Tangled stage show, in addition to an all-new Encanto show.
Disney Believe Cruise Ship
The Disney Believe is “inspired by promise, possibility, and what lies beyond the horizon.” It will launch in 2027 with a Grand Hall featuring a Moana statue, Tinker Bell on the bow, and Buzz and Woody on the stern.
The ship is being assembled at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. The first “gigablock” floated out in September.
It is the fourth Wish-class ship following the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. This means it’s the same size and shape as these ships, with the same layout but different theming.
A fifth Wish-class ship operated by Tokyo Disney Resort owners Oriental Land Company will begin sailing out of Japan in 2029. A class of smaller ships will also begin launching in 2029.
