The Churro Strawberry Shortcake Sundae has arrived at EPCOT, and while it’s a solid snack, it’s a bit of a melty mess.

On the menu, the Churro Strawberry Shortcake Sundae from Sunshine Seasons is described as having churro loops, strawberry soft serve, strawberry compote, whipped cream, and cake crumbs.

We found this sundae to be a solid treat, but not overly impressive. The churros were a good addition and added a bit of savory to the sweetness of the other ingredients. It was fun to dip the churros in the ice cream, but it feels like something already done five times over.

If you love strawberry shortcake or anything strawberry, you will like this treat. Although, anybody who doesn’t like strawberries, you might want to pass on this one because of the strawberry soft-serve and compote. This sundae is heavy on the strawberries!

If you are going to pick up this treat, we recommend eating it inside at Sunshine Seasons because it melts quickly. As you can see in our photos, once the ice cream melts, it begins to seep through the flimsy paper container, leaving a pink mess everywhere.

Overall, we thought this Churro Strawberry Shortcake Sundae was basic, but it tasted very good for what it is. It will hit the spot if it’s something you’re craving. All the flavors worked together, yet there is nothing original about this sundae.

This treat is part of the new line-up of sweet treats releasing across the resort this fall and winter.
