Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge

First announced in 2018, the resort was originally going to be called Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, but plans were stalled during the COVID-19 pandemic. Years later, after the resort was thought to be canceled, Disney began filing permits.

The Disney Vacation Club resort was then officially announced in 2024 with a new name, Lakeshore Lodge. The resort will be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.”

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will be a waterfront retreat where guests will “discover the wonder of nature through the artistry of Disney storytelling.”

We received a first look at the rooms in August. Walt Disney World has also released more concept art for studios, suites, and villas.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge is next to Bay Lake, at the former site of the River Country water park, between Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge.

It will have 967 rooms, including studios and suites. Many will offer views of Bay Lake by day and Magic Kingdom fireworks at night.

The resort will debut new one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses along the waterfront.

Three restaurants were also recently announced, along with concept art of Pocahontas Lobby & Fireworks Lounge.
