Areas of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa have been undergoing refurbishments on and off for the past couple of years. During our latest visit to Disneyland Resort, we noticed the front pool has now reopened with some construction walls and scrim starting to come down.

Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Refurbishment Update

The front pool at Grand Californian closed one month ago, with no official announcement from Disney why the pool was undergoing construction. During our last update, we still didn’t see any active work occurring at the pool, but the pool has since reopened. Green construction walls are still installed on either side of the gated entrance.

Across from the pool, we could see crews actively working on the far side of one of the Grand Californian buildings.

The crew members were removing the scrim and taking down the scaffolding. The construction walls surrounding the perimeter of the pool have also been removed.

Green and brown construction walls are still up near the GCH Craftsman Grill self-service entrance, though they will likely be removed soon.

With the removal of the construction walls around the pool, sightlines from the Craftsman Grill have been restored, and the patio furniture has returned as well.

We also got a closer look at the crew members who were taking down the scaffolding and scrim near the eatery.

Are you glad that the pool has reopened at Grand Californian? Let us know on social media.
