Sleeping Beauty Castle Begins Snow-Covered Transformation Earlier than Ever

Disneyland Park is preparing for the upcoming holiday season by adding snow to Sleeping Beauty Castle—and it’s up earlier than ever.

Snow at Sleeping Beauty Castle

Snow Arrives at Sleeping Beauty Castle Even Earlier Than Last Year

We noticed that crews had started installing white and light blue snow over the center tower roof on Monday, October 12, the earliest it has ever occurred. Last year, the snow began to be installed on October 13. Previous dates include October 14 in 2024 and October 18 in 2023.

Silver and gold stars could also be seen on the center roof on top of the snow and blue turrets.

Eventually, snow will cover all the turrets; wreaths, garland, and icicle lights will adorn Sleeping Beauty Castle as well.

We previously saw these pieces in transit in early September.

Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will begin on November 13, 2026, and will run through January 6, 2027. Events and offerings that take place during this time include A Christmas Fantasy Parade, “Believe…In Holiday Magic” Fireworks show, specialty food and beverage options, merchandise, and more.
