A “suspicious device” was found near the Disneyland Resort Esplanade last night, prompting a police response and the closure of park exits.
Suspicious Package at Disneyland

The Disneylanders shared several videos on Instagram between about 10 p.m. and midnight local time. Police closed off Harbor Blvd, which borders Disneyland Resort on the west. Guests exiting the parks were not allowed to leave via Harbor Blvd and were instead directed through Downtown Disney District.
The Disneylanders reported a large police activity. Beyond the officers on the ground, there were helicopters and drones in the sky. By 11:24 p.m., one side of the Disneyland Park exit was closed and Cast Members were directing guests to the east.
A comment on Reddit stated that at 11:40 p.m. Disneyland was in a state of “chaos” with “hordes” of guests everywhere and no word from upper management. Another comment in the same thread shared a screenshot of the active call from Anaheim Fire & Rescue. The call was received at 11:10 p.m.

The Disneylanders learned by this time from someone who worked for the city of Anaheim that there was apparently a suspicious package in the area.
Soon after that, in The Disneylanders final video, the entire Disneyland Park exit was closed. Guests were then pointed through an overflow path next to the firehouse. It does not appear guests were actually evacuated — they were allowed to leave when they wanted, just could not leave Disneyland Resort to the east.
Anaheim Police Department confirmed to NBC4 Los Angeles that a “suspicious device” was found near the shuttle drop-off at Harbor Blvd. Details on the device were not released and authorities continue to investigate the matter.
