The holiday season at Disney World and Disneyland both officially run from November 13th, 2026 through January 6th, 2027, and it’s one of the BEST times to visit these theme park resorts! The vibes are festive, and there is no shortage of decorations and overlays.
There are a few things you may not realize you need when traveling to Disney World during the holiday season. We want to make sure you are 100% prepared for your trip, so we have gathered a list of often forgotten items worth bringing!
Pick up some matching jammies before your trip
If you’re staying at a Disney hotel or considering attending a character breakfast, have a little bit of fun and sport these Matching Family Holiday Pajamas! Available in several adult and kid sizes, these matching PJs feature a snowy all-over design of Mickey and his pals skiing. The price on these is HARD to beat, and these are great for in the parks and at home on Christmas morning. A win-win!!
This essential is great for pool days
Moana’s Journey of Water in EPCOT will still be open in November, and I promise your littles will still want to get wet. Since the air can be a little more crisp in the mornings and evenings, you will simply want to make sure you’re prepared. Pack a swimsuit, a change of clothes, and a towel! The towel is important because there is a little big of a walk to the closest restroom from Journey of Water, and your littles will be COLD. So bundle them up with a nice towel until you’re able to change them!
Embrace Thanksgiving with this next souvenir
November is also the season of giving thanks, and packing something like these Thanksgiving Cards can be used as a way to thank Cast Members who made your trip special, your Mousekeepers, even your kiddos. You can fill these out throughout your trip and make it a way to teach your kiddos how to give thanks throughout the trip!
Decorate your hotel room
People go all out decorating rooms and strollers for the holidays, and you can join the fun with these Christmas Gingerbread Window Cling Decorations! This set comes with 12 sheets of Christmas window clings featuring gingerbread characters, mouse-shaped designs, candy, snowflakes, a castle, and more. Pieces can be mixed and matched to create a big gingerbread display!
We love these table decorations!
These Mickey and Minnie Gingerbread Wood Table Decorations come in a pack of four sturdy decorations that can stand upright on a plethora of furniture. Designs include Mickey and Minnie as gingerbread characters, as well as a Santa Mickey silhouette block and a Minnie peppermint block.
Deck out your stroller with Christmas lights
Perfect for the holiday season (or any season, really), these Stroller Lights are a super fun decoration at the Disney Parks. These LED lights were designed to alert vehicles and pedestrians at night, but can also be used to create festive vibes at Disney! They wrap up to 10 feet and can be bent into various shapes. They come with 16 colors and eight modes, and can withstand splashing water and rain.
Plan for rain with this next essential
Speaking of rain, it can still rain quite a bit in November, so make sure you bring rain gear — like this Frogg Toggs Poncho! Available in several different colors and both youth and adult sizes, this reusable poncho is lightweight, breathable, made of durable material, and comes with a carrying bag.
