Photographer bioreconstruct shared a first look at the refurbished facade of Finnegan’s Bar & Grill in Universal Studios Florida. Although some construction walls, scaffolding, and scrim have come down, the restaurant is still scheduled to be closed through at least the end of the year.
Finnegan’s Bar & Grill Refurbishment

Walls are gone from the corner of the building, which features the Regal Cafe facade. The walls have been freshly painted brown, and there are new beige and striped brown awnings.

Signs on the walls and windows appear to have been refreshed or replaced but there were no design changes. This section was probably completed first because this facade is used as the technical booth for the Blues Brothers show across the street, plus the Halloween Horror Nights scare zone Downtown Clowntown is in this area.

The Regal Cafe sign has returned to the corner, hanging over the sidewalk. Though it’s not illuminated in bioreconstruct’s photos, we would guess the neon lighting has been updated.

The main entrance facade of Finnegan’s was also revealed, although it doesn’t appear to be complete. It’s the same blue-green color as previously, just freshly repainted. The same gold designs are on the windows.
Yet to return are the Finnegan’s signs and awning. Compare to the photo below.

Bigger changes are expected inside Finnegan’s. The restaurant was completely gutted soon after construction work began earlier this year.
Renovations recently began on the attached Priscilla Hotel facade, too.
