At Halloween Horror Nights in Universal Studios Hollywood, guests identified as teenagers yelled at “Freaky” Nikki from Obsession, leading the character performer to break character and cut her meet and greet short.
Nikki Breaks Character to End Meet and Greet

Instagram user justindiaz7567 shared a video of the incident, which took place on October 11, 2026. He wrote in his caption, “This type of behavior at [Halloween Horror Nights] is totally unacceptable. While Nikki was in a middle of interacting with a guest after we got out of Dead, Deader, Deadest house, a group of teenagers were getting loud and rowdy at Nikki which ruined the experience for another guest and it caused Nikki to break character after being overwhelmed and harassed and luckily the Team Member stepped in to deescalate the situation. Always respect the people working at HHN because they work really hard to make the event more fun for other guests as well as be respectful to other guests.”
Nikki, who is from the film Obsession, sometimes roams among guests but was behind a barrier outside the Dead, Deader, Deadest house when this incident took place.
In the video, the party of teenagers can be heard yelling for Nikki, then chanting, “No, no, no!” based on a viral moment in Obsession. At the time, Nikki was speaking to other guests.
A character attendant warned the teens not to interrupt the other guests. But the group came up to the barrier, crowding the other guests and one teen said something to the attendant. At the same time, another team member told guests to keep moving.
Nikki then broke character slightly, admonishing the teenagers for their behavior. They continued chanting, “No,” so the actress held her arms up in an “X,” a standard signal for theme park performers indicating they need to leave. She apologized to the original guests, saying the teens “ruined it” for them. A team member then escorted her backstage.
Scareactors at Halloween Horror Nights and other haunts frequently face harassment and even violence from rude guests. If such behavior persists, Nikki and other characters may not be able to roam anymore.
