That’s right, an Artemis Fowl Animated Series is officially in the works! Here is everything you need to know.
Artemis Fowl is a best-selling book series written by Eoin Colfer. At New York City Comic Con, there was a “25 Years of Artemis Fowl” panel where Colfer officially announced this new show and that he would be an Executive Producer. Disney has shared that this new animated series will bring Colfer’s creative vision to life and “dig deeper into the characters and lore of the beloved book series that is celebrating its 25th anniversary of the first book.”

Artemis Fowl is an adventure and fantasy series following 13-year-old genius Artemis Fowl as he uncovers a secret underground magical world and attempts to steal magic to save his mother, who is sick. Ben Juwono and Colleen Evanson will also act as Executive Producers alongside Colfer.

Now, you might remember that this is not the first adaptation of this beloved series. Back in 2020, an Artemis Fowl movie was released on Disney Plus. However, it was met with widespread criticism from fans who felt it varied too greatly from the original books. So, we are thrilled to see that a new adaptation is in the works with Eoin Colfer as an Executive Producer.
