Disney’s Facility Asset Management (FAM) team filed a construction permit contracting a steel fabrication company for the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Late last year, the large boulder that is part of the show injured stunt performer Robert Herrick.
Indiana Jones Construction Permit
The permit is for 225 Cypress Dr, the theater’s address, and describes the work as “General Construction.” Frequent Disney collaborator Coastal Steel Inc. is the contractor.
Filings from FAM usually indicate general maintenance rather than thematic changes, although steel work could be involved enough to force a closure of the show.
Last December, a veteran Disney stunt performer was injured when the show’s boulder prop bounced off its track. The boulder was removed and has not been part of the show since. The Cast Member, Robert Herrick, returned to the stage in May.
It’s possible this permit could be related to the boulder’s return although that is not confirmed.
The permit expires on October 5, 2027.

Meanwhile, a steel frame was just installed outside the theater for the mysterious “Project Fedora,” but it does not share the same address as the theater.
