We recently visited Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and stayed in a resort view room. A few years ago, Disney remodeled these rooms. Here is our full tour.

This room at the waterfront Resort hotel has a charming, whimsical feel inspired by the turn-of-the-century Atlantic City and Coney Island. It features portraits of characters and theme-appropriate furniture and designs. There is also tons of space within this hotel room.

The walls are painted a mix of beige, cream, and white, and the vinyl plank flooring is in a Herringbone pattern.

When first walking into the room, guests are greeted with three dark brown cabinets with mirrors on them and large metal pull handles, as well as a small counter that has a coffee maker and ice bucket.

While the main bedroom’s wooden planks use a Herringbone pattern, the planks in the hallway are laid out in a straight and slightly curved parallel pattern.

Inside the cabinet on the far left are five shelves. The top shelf is empty; the second shelf has a steamer and a hairdryer; the third shelf holds a safe; and the fourth and fifth shelves are also empty.
The other two cabinets open into one big space that features multiple hangers, a luggage rack, and an extra pillow and blanket.

The picture displayed behind the counter has Mickey and Minnie Mouse having a picnic on the grass while Pluto is seen watching them on a balcony of the BoardWalk Inn Resort.

The small marble counter has a Keurig coffee maker and an ice bucket on top. The brown cabinets underneath contain cups, coffee pods, and other supplies. The cabinet at the very bottom holds a mini fridge or cooler. These cabinets have silver metal pull knobs and a white and black cross-hatch pattern in the center.

Before guests enter the main bedroom, the bathroom area is to the left. The wooden planks are a lighter color, but keep the Herringbone pattern. On the right side of the room, a large photo of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy is sailing in swan boats in front of the Resort.
On the left side of the space, there is a double vanity which has tissues on the side, as well as hand soap, body lotion, mouthwash, a shower cap, a vanity kit, and bath soap. A large rectangular mirror takes up most of the wall space above the counter.
A wide white door that leads to the toilet and shower has a full-length mirror.

When guests open the white door, a white toilet is in front of a large shower and bathtub. Towels and extra toilet paper are stacked above the toilet.
In the shower, Disney added a rectangular light brown wooden pattern with a line of circular tile in teal, blue, and white. The shower also has a sliding glass door, silver metal hardware, and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
The bedroom/living area of the room has two queen beds with white linens, as well as a pale mint sofa bed.

Each bed has four white pillows, as well as a sage green and pink long throw pillow with a paisley design. The dark brown bed frames are off the ground, so there is room to store things under the bed if needed. The headboard is a muted blue and yellow plaid design with white borders and teal sides.

Next to each bed is a small shelf, as well as two standard electrical outlets, a USB port, and a USB-C port for charging and power needs.
Three mirrors are placed on the wall above the headboards, with hanging lights blocking the mirrors.

In the middle of the two beds stands a brown and white end table with a white hexagon pattern on the drawer. There is also a “Hey Disney!” device and a phone on top.

Three portraits of Minnie, Mickey, and Pluto in vintage-style clothing are placed on the wall beside the left bed. The photos of Minnie and Pluto are in square frames, while the Mickey portrait is placed in an oval frame. We thought these were a really adorable “Disney” touch.

Next to the right bed is a light mint chair with a white wooden base. The custom design is a medallion that features a Mickey decal in the center.

The couch is placed to the left of the dresser and TV. It includes two throw pillows on the side and can fold out into a bed. Next to the couch is a small circular table with a pale pink lamp with Mickey designs going around the bottom.

Above the couch, two large pieces of artwork are placed in the center of the white and beige wall. The artwork on the left is Mickey and Minnie walking on the boardwalk with blue and yellow balloons. The right picture showcases Goofy as a boardwalk performer outside Screen Door General Store.

The dresser also features a similar honeycomb pattern seen on the end table between the two beds. It has six drawers with silver pull handles. On top of the dresser sits the TV remote and an information sheet. Outlets are also installed in the dresser, which include traditional outlets and ones that fit newer devices.

Themed cream- and gold-colored curtains with silhouette portraits of Mickey and Friends with other vintage designs are placed by the white patio door. We really liked this continuation of this design from the portraits on the wall.
The white door with a silver handle opens to a large patio that overlooks the resort. There are two white chairs and a table for guests to enjoy. The outside walls are a pastel yellow color with the floor laid with square tiles.
Overall, we feel like this is an improvement to the previous rooms. Though some areas feel sterile, there were some unique and charming touches.
