Walt Disney Imagineering has filed another construction permit for the new Monstropolis being built at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This one is for Harryhausen’s, the land’s table-service restaurant.
Monstropolis Construction Permit

The Notice of Commencement, filed October 15, 2026, permits Artistic Entertainment Services to provide “general construction” to 359 Cypress Drive, the address for Harryhausen’s (previously Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano). The permit expires one year from now.
Artistic Entertainment Services has worked with Disney and other theme parks, specializing in scenic fabrication. They have been previously permitted to work on Project Fedora, which is currently under construction near Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.

Mama Melrose’s is being completely transformed as part of its Harryhausen’s makeover. An X-beam was installed in July for the facade’s giant chopsticks. Inside, the restaurant will have a sushi-slinging octopus animatronic and will serve food with a monster twist, like eyeball ramen.
