Disney shared the former chief executive’s upcoming appearance in this week’s schedule of guests and programming on the daily two-hour news program, which is available for streaming on Disney+, Hulu, and ABC:

Bob Chapek Memoir and ‘Beef’ with Bob Iger
Iger’s appearance coincidentally follows a spate of media coverage of his failed successor Bob Chapek’s recently released memoir Behind the Castle Walls, which claims that his tenure as CEO at The Walt Disney Company was effectively sabotaged by Iger, with whom he has an ongoing “beef.” The book sold fewer than 2,500 copies in its first week.
While Iger has openly admitted that Disney wasn’t thorough enough when choosing Bob Chapek as his successor, we don’t know if Iger will discuss Chapek or his book in the interview.
Bob Iger’s Legacy
On March 18, 2026, Bob Iger officially stepped down as CEO of The Walt Disney Company after two tenures and over 50 years with the company, and former Disney Experiences Chairperson Josh D’Amaro stepped up to become the company’s eighth CEO.
In August 2026, Iger was officially inducted as a Disney Legend and received one of the highest honors bestowed upon an influential Disney leader: a personalized window on Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Park.
