Curved track sections for the Monsters, Inc. door coaster remain staged near Disney’s Hollywood Studios as construction progresses on the upcoming Monstropolis attraction.
Monstropolis Door Coaster Track

Our latest views of the staging yard along the Disney Skyliner route show numerous pale gray track pieces arranged around the clearing. The sections have thick tubular spines, smaller parallel rails, and regularly spaced connecting braces. Several feature pronounced curves, while others have gentler bends.
Some pieces rest on wooden blocking around the perimeter, with additional sections grouped closer together. Black cylindrical supports and stacks of dark steel beams occupy other portions of the yard.

A green telehandler is parked among the components, and a red-and-white mobile crane stands on the opposite side of the clearing. A flatbed trailer at the far end of the yard also holds pale gray track sections.
Earlier this month, we reported that crews were preparing to transfer track from this staging yard to the Monstropolis coaster construction site. Those aerial photos showed track loaded onto trucks, along with additional deliveries being unloaded using a crane. A substantial collection of components remains staged in our latest photos.

We previously spotted additional curved coaster track at the staging grounds in September. The yard continues to hold both track and other construction materials as work advances at the attraction itself.
At the coaster’s show building, recent aerial photos revealed curved track installed among the supports as exterior walls began enclosing the structure. Blue wall panels and expanding roof coverage are gradually concealing the building’s interior.
Monsters, Inc. Door Coaster Construction

Monstropolis, which replaces Muppets Courtyard, will open in phases. Most of the land will open next year, but Disney hasn’t announced an opening timeframe for the coaster, which will be Disney’s first vertical lift and first suspended coaster. Aerial photos from last month provide a clearer picture of how trains will travel through the door coaster currently under construction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
