Disney has removed a uniquely quirky element of an Electric Mayhem photo op at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Electric Mayhem Photo Op Footprints Removed

During our latest visit to Rock Around the Shop, we noticed the four sets of footprints previously positioned beneath the colorful Muppets mural were gone.
The markings offered guests places to stand for photos, albeit in a silly orientation with the left and right edge guests facing away from the photo op’s focal point.

The center two pairs of footprints, facing away from the wall as one would expect, included messages identifying a “fan club president” and “lead singer.” The two edge pairs, either facing the wall or the side of the photo op entirely, added jokes about facing the wrong direction, with the phrases “Why are you looking this way?” and “Wrong way, buddy!”
That section of flooring is now bare, with visible scuffs and darker marks across the wood beneath the mural. None of the footprint designs or their accompanying messages remain visible.

The photo backdrop itself remains in place. The Electric Mayhem members surround a large orange lightning bolt on the brick wall, with colorful musical notes, stars, and hearts filling the surrounding space. Paint-splattered equipment cases and paint cans flank the mural, while “WET PAINT do not touch” remains written near the bottom.

In addition to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, the gift shop Rock Around the Shop has also opened with new Muppets merchandise.
