Disney World Just Raised Prices AGAIN, But This One Trick Saves Us Hundreds

Your Disney World vacation just got a lot more expensive, but we have a hidden tip for you to still save money!

Magic Kingdom

Every fall, like clockwork, Disney World rolls out its annual round of price increases. And every year, we tell ourselves we’re prepared for it… and then we see the new price of a popcorn refill and need a minute. This year is no different. Hundreds of price increases just hit Disney World on everything from park tickets and Annual Passes to Lightning Lane, specialty tours, restaurants, and those snack-cart treats we just can’t skip. We’re breaking down everything that went up. But stick around, because we’re also sharing the one trick that saves us hundreds of dollars on our Disney trips, even when prices keep climbing.

Let’s do a quick recap of all of the price increases that were recently announced for Disney World.

Park Tickets Hit a New High

Let’s start with the big one. Disney World park tickets went up, and the most expensive 1-day, 1-park ticket now costs $229. Ticket prices vary by date and park, so here’s the new highest price at each park:

  • Magic Kingdom: $229
  • EPCOT: $229
  • Hollywood Studios: $214
  • Animal Kingdom: $189

The good news is that the lowest-priced 1-day, 1-park ticket did not change. It’s still $119. In 2025 and 2026, ticket prices ranged from $119 to $219, so that top-end price just jumped by $10.

For comparison, here’s what each park’s ticket range looked like before October 6th, 2026:

  • Magic Kingdom: $144–$219
  • EPCOT: $129–$214
  • Hollywood Studios: $139–$209
  • Animal Kingdom: $119–$184

So if you’re visiting on a busy, peak-priced day, expect to pay noticeably more than you would have just a week ago.

Annual Passes Went Up, Too

If you’re a Passholder (or were thinking about becoming one), all four Disney World Annual Pass types got more expensive. Here’s the new pricing versus the old:

  • Disney Incredi-Pass: $1,749 (was $1,629)
  • Disney Sorcerer Pass: $1,139 (was $1,099)
  • Disney Pirate Pass: $909 (was $869)
  • Disney Pixie Dust Pass: $499 (was $489)

That’s a whopping $120 jump for the Incredi-Pass, which is the only pass with no blockout dates. If you’re renewing, your price is going up as well, but you’re still eligible for a renewal discount, so don’t let your pass lapse if you’re planning to keep it.

Lightning Lane Single Pass Reaches Record Prices

Lightning Lane Single Pass is the à la carte option for headliner rides that aren’t included in Lightning Lane Multi Pass. It’s what you buy when you just cannot stand in a 90-minute standby line for TRON or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Those prices have been creeping up for a while, and now several rides are hitting all-time highs.

On Sunday, November 1st, 2026, these rides reach their highest per-person prices ever:

  • TRON Lightcycle / Run: $25 (previous high: $23)
  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind: $25 (previous high: $22)
  • Avatar: Flight of Passage: $20 (previous high: $19)
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: $18 (previous high: $15)

That’s an increase of $1 to $3 per person, depending on the ride, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train took the biggest jump. For a family of four, that $3 increase adds $12 to a single ride. The only Single Pass ride that didn’t go up is Rise of the Resistance, which has consistently been the priciest Single Pass in Disney World anyway.

Specialty Tours Cost More Now

If a behind-the-scenes look at the parks is on your bucket list, it will cost you a bit more. Several of Disney World’s specialty tours each went up by $10 per person:

  • Keys to the Kingdom: now $179–$199 per person (was $169–$189). This five-hour guided walking tour of Magic Kingdom includes a peek at the famous Utilidor tunnels underneath the park.
  • Savor the Savanna: now $209–$219 per person (was $199–$209). This guided evening safari in Animal Kingdom includes African-inspired small plates, beer, and wine from a private viewing area on the savanna.
  • Wild Africa Trek: now $239–$249 per person (was $229–$239). On this three-hour guided tour of the Safi River Valley, you’ll actually walk across those rope bridges over the crocodiles you see from Kilimanjaro Safaris.

Restaurants and Snacks: Almost Nothing Was Safe

And now the part that hurts us most. Restaurants are one of the best parts of a Disney World trip, and the price increases hit almost all of them, including fan favorites like Be Our Guest Restaurant, Garden Grill, Casey’s Corner, Tiffins, and Cinderella’s Royal Table.

Snack carts didn’t escape either. Pretzels, popcorn, ice cream, and drinks all went up. Here are a few of the new prices:

  • Small Dasani Water: $2.59 → $2.75
  • Assorted Fountain Beverages: $4.79 → $4.99
  • Large Twinings Hot Tea: $5.19 → $5.29
  • Hot Cocoa: $4.79 → $4.99
  • Cuties Mandarin 3-pack: $4.19 → $4.49
  • Popcorn: $5.99 → $6.29
  • Popcorn Bucket Refill: $2.49 → $2.79

Individually, most of these increases are small: 20 cents here, a dollar there. But over a week-long trip, for a whole family, buying three meals and a few snacks a day, those small amounts add up fast.

So How Do We Save? We Use a Travel Agent

Here’s the trick that saves us hundreds on our Disney trips: we book with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner at Small World Vacations Inc. We know what you’re thinking. “Won’t a travel agent cost me more?” Nope! Most Disney-specialized agencies don’t charge you a planning fee at all, because Disney pays them a commission. You get the same price you’d get by booking directly with Disney, plus an expert in your corner who’s looking out for your budget. (It’s always worth confirming an agency’s fee policy upfront, but many charge nothing.)

Disney Vacation Planner

Here’s how a good travel agent can save you money:

They Watch for Discounts So You Don’t Have To

Disney releases hotel and package discounts throughout the year, and sometimes those deals come out after you’ve already booked. If you booked directly, it’s on you to notice the deal, call Disney, and ask whether it can be applied to your reservation. A good travel agent monitors those discounts for you and, when your reservation qualifies, applies the new deal to your existing booking. Room-only and package discounts on a Disney resort stay can easily save a family hundreds of dollars, and you might never have known the deal existed.

They Can Help You Lock In Prices Before Increases

Timing matters a lot when prices go up every year. A travel agent keeps up with Disney’s pricing patterns and can help you book a package (hotel plus tickets) at a time that makes sense for your budget. When a deposit secures your package, it can help you avoid paying more if prices rise before your trip. This is especially helpful if you’re planning far in advance.

They Know Which Options Actually Make Sense for Your Family

With date-based ticket pricing, multiple Annual Pass tiers, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass, and add-ons like Park Hopper, it’s really easy to overspend on things you won’t use. A knowledgeable agent can tell you whether that $229 day is worth it or whether shifting your trip by a few days would land you on cheaper ticket dates. They can also help you figure out which Lightning Lane purchases are worth it for your crew and which ones aren’t.

They Help You Budget for Food

With restaurant prices rising nearly across the board, planning meals ahead matters more than ever. An agent can help you think through dining reservations, whether a dining plan makes sense for your group, and which character meals deliver the most value. That way, you aren’t blindsided by a $500 food bill on day two.

They Save You Time (And Time Is Money)

Between booking dining reservations, tracking payment deadlines, and checking for new discounts, Disney planning can feel like a part-time job. A travel agent handles a lot of that legwork, and many will help you book dining reservations and Lightning Lanes at the right times, too.

Magic Kingdom at Disney World

Disney World prices are going up again, and they’re probably going to keep going up. We can’t stop the price increases, but we can be smarter about how we book. Using a Disney-specialized travel agent costs most families nothing extra, and catching just one discount or avoiding one unnecessary splurge can put hundreds of dollars back in your pocket.
