In new aerial photos by bioreconstruct, recently cast concrete is visible behind the retaining wall near the former Liberty Square Riverboat Landing. The tallest sections of Piston Peak will be in this area, but Imagineers are working to ensure sightlines are clear and car architecture won’t be visible from Liberty Square, for example.

There is a short slope of concrete leading to a flat section within a rounded section of the retaining wall. Dirt in a rectangle has been flattened but not yet filled with concrete. The tower crane installed last month reaches down to this area. Closer to the crane’s base are steel structures in a large trench.

Cars Ridge Run Rally will be the main attraction of Piston Peak. The more family-friendly ride will be Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along.

The Cars area is inspired by the American West and real national parks, incorporating forests, waterways, geysers, and mountainous scenery.
