We did not think we could get any more excited for the classiest Holiday event of the year until Disney World went ahead and confirmed two BRAND-NEW characters!
Mike Wazowski
That’s right, Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will have two all-new characters this year, both from the world of Monsters, Inc.
Now, if you’ve attended Jollywood Nights in years past, then you know that this is not the first time Monsters, Inc. characters are coming to join the fun. We have loved meeting Mike Wazowski himself at the party! He is such a unique character to be able to meet, but now Disney is getting even more niche and bringing George Sanderson and Needleman into the character lineup.
Hey Mike!
Now, these characters are so niche you might not even recognize their names, but you will probably know them from their role in the movie. Needleman, the taller of the Monsters in the photo below, works as a maintenance worker and door shredder in the movie.

Now, George Sanderson is in one of the most iconic scenes in the movie where, after scaring a child, he comes back through the door with a sock on his back. Of course, triggering the iconic 2319 code, in which the CDA (Child Detection Agency) then must shave his fur to get rid of the contamination.

Now, Disney has also shared a few other returning characters for the event this year, including the following:
- Baloo or King Louie from TaleSpin
- Lotso from Toy Story 3
- Bo Peep from Toy Story
- The Mandalorian and Grogu
- Joy from Inside Out
- And many more!

In addition to characters, there is also specialty entertainment like Glisten!, which is a Holiday skating show this year set to include some Disney characters for the first time ever!
Glisten!
Now, if you want to visit this incredible event this year, it is running on select nights from November 7th through January 5th. In addition to exclusive characters and entertainment, there will also be exclusive food and fewer crowds in the park, which means shorter wait times.
