The themed scrim that previously covered The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, located in Disney California Adventure, has been rolled up. However, work is still being done on the building’s exterior.

When we walked by the area, we noticed that the themed scrim is no longer visible. However, at the top of some bars on the sides and the front of the building, the scrim is rolled up and tied. So, the themed scrim may come back down.

Rows of scaffolding still cover the exterior.

The photos above show what the themed scrim looks like when it covered the scaffolding.
Temporary construction walls remain around the base of the building. The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure continues to operate, with openings in the barriers allowing guests to reach the entrance and queue.
The exterior refurbishment began in August and is believed to include general maintenance and repainting of the façade.
