Crews have finally replaced the last few panels of the Spaceship Earth exterior at EPCOT, completing a refresh project that began last year.

Spaceship Earth Panels

The silver paneling runs around Project Tomorrow, the interactive exit area for the Spaceship Earth ride. The panel replacement began close to the geodesic sphere in August 2025. By April 2026, most of the panels around the rest of the building had been updated. But a handful remained untouched.

These last panels have been replaced or refreshed so they now match the rest of the vertical paneling. They have a shiny blue-gray finish. The reflecting sunlight gives them a gradient effect.

At D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney announced a Spaceship Earth reimagining inspired by human connection. A Spaceship Earth TV show is also in development with Catherine Laga’aia and Deacon Phillippe in the lead roles.
