A reversible Star Wars R2-D2 schematic throw blanket has arrived at Walt Disney World.

R2-D2 Throw Blanket — $69.99

The large plush blanket features a large blue illustration of R2-D2 against an off-white background. Instead of his typical silhouette, however, the astromech droid’s frame is filled with an intricate arrangement of inner mechanical details, including switches, coils, vents, and other machinery.

As the blanket’s tag previews with a folded corner of the front design, the reverse side inverts the front’s color scheme. Circuitry patterns and other mechanical motifs are shown in an off-white color against the vibrant blue background, creating a kind of schematic illustration across the full length and width of the blanket.

The throw measures 50 by 60 inches, or 127 by 152 centimeters.

We found the R2-D2 throw blanket in Tatooine Traders, the shop at the exit of Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Elsewhere at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the customizable lightsaber selection recently received an update. New Protection & Defense components arrived at Savi’s Workshop, introducing white and yellow-gold pieces inspired by the High Republic era.
