Ryan Murphy’s long-running anthology series “American Horror Story” will return to haunt Disney’s streaming services for another season after its crossover-focused 13th season concludes.
‘American Horror Story’ Renewed for Season 14

“American Horror Story” will be back for a fourteenth season as Disney has renewed FX’s long-running hourlong anthology series ahead of its season 13 finale, which airs just ahead of Halloween on October 29, 2026, on FX and Hulu.
The renewal isn’t surprising: the “American Horror Story” franchise has generated nearly two billion hours of streaming time. The 13th and current season, fittingly titled “AHS: 13,” has been a huge hit across Disney’s streaming platforms, earning four million views in its first four days and setting streaming records as both the series’ biggest premiere ever and the biggest launch ever for a Ryan Murphy series on Hulu and Disney+.

The series, which premiered in 2011, has amassed more than 100 Emmy nominations, with 17 wins. It also has a prestige ensemble cast who have played multiple roles across the many seasons, including Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Denis O’Hare, Frances Conroy, Lily Rabe, and Angela Bassett.
Certain characters have also returned in different seasons, such as season 3’s “AHS: Coven” witches, who have reappeared in “AHS: Apocalypse” (season 8) and “AHS: 13.” The thirteenth season is especially focused on interconnecting narratives involving fan-favorite characters from different seasons.
