The partnership will strengthen the existing relationship between the Disney On Ice casting team and U.S. Figure Skating.
Feld and U.S. Figure Skating will work together to educate young skaters about the wide range of career pathways available in professional skating, including touring performance opportunities with Disney On Ice.
“At U.S. Figure Skating, we are committed to helping skaters thrive both during and after their competitive careers, making this partnership with Feld Entertainment a natural fit for our organization,” U.S. Figure Skating’s Chief Commercial Officer Annie White said. “Disney On Ice has long provided skaters with opportunities to continue skating professionally, and we’re excited about the continued collaboration.”
Feld Entertainment, which is the largest employer of professional ice skaters in the world, will provide U.S. Figure Skating members with an exclusive discount ticket offer for Disney On Ice performances and will host two annual webinars for collegiate and high school members focused on professional skating careers, career transitions within the sport, and opportunities within live entertainment skating.
U.S. Figure Skating representatives will attend select Disney On Ice performances to share information about their Learn to Skate USA programs and introduce Disney fans to opportunities to begin their own skating journeys.
“As athletes begin considering life beyond competition, it is important they understand the many ways they can continue pursuing their passion for skating professionally,” said Chantal Stringer, Feld Entertainment/Disney On Ice casting director. “Disney On Ice has provided generations of talented skaters the opportunity to perform, travel, and inspire audiences worldwide, and we are excited to continue strengthening our relationship with U.S. Figure Skating through this partnership.”
