According to an eyewitness account, Fantasmic! was abruptly cancelled mid-performance on October 21 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Citizens of Hollywood, Galactic Starcruiser characters, and more returned to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a private buyout event on October 20. One day after it was revealed that Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade would be filming for the ABC holiday special on November 10 and 11, one of those dates at Magic Kingdom is currently unavailable for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders.

All this and more in today’s daily recap for Thursday, October 22, 2026.
