Dumbo the Flying Elephant at Tokyo Disneyland has reopened after a 10-month refurbishment with a refreshed color scheme.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant at Tokyo Disneyland has been closed since January 5, 2026. It reopened on October 23, the 85th anniversary of the film’s New York premiere. MezzoMiki shared photos and video of the attraction on Instagram, showcasing the ride’s new blue color scheme.

Previously, the arms of the ride were striped cream and either red or blue. They are now a vibrant blue with a light blue diamond pattern featuring gold and red highlights. The hardware at the end of each arm is also gold, attached to a gold and blue drum. The flooring is similarly blue and gold now instead of cream, red, and blue.

The previously solid red center column is now blue and gold with a circus design. The blue extends to the outfit of Timothy Q. Mouse, which is now blue instead of red. And instead of holding a baton, he holds a gold feather.

The figure of Timothy in the Dumbo photo op also wears blue now. Signage, speakers, and other elements around the attraction all have the new blue and gold color scheme.

The operations booth has new murals featuring Dumbo, Timothy, and Jumbo with the phrase “Believe & Soar!”
The vehicles themselves don’t appear any different, just refreshed.
