Disney Lorcana co-founder Ryan Miller shared details about Collector Boosters and a new rarity coming to the trading card game in February 2027.
Disney Lorcana Collector Boosters and a New Rarity
It was announced by Disney Lorcana co-founder Ryan Miller that the trading card game will be introducing a brand-new product, Collector Boosters, for collectors who love to collect rare cards with specialized art.
In an interview with IGN, Miller said, “The Collector Booster is our way of saying to our collectors that this is a wonderful thing you can be excited about. If you want to really bling out your deck, this is a really good way to do that. It’s not going to replace regular boosters. We really want this to just be a special thing that also focuses on the artists, which are featured right above the rarity symbol. We’ve worked with over 300 artists from around the world, and they are all truly amazing.”
The Inkdark set launching in February 2027 will be the first set of cards to offer the Collector Boosters.
Each Collector Booster will feature foil designs that give the cards an elevated look and feel, making rare cards even rarer.
A new rarity, Illustrious, will also be introduced. This rarity will only appear in Collector Boosters.
Collector Boosters will only be available at Ravensburger Play Hub stores, the Ravensburger Online Store, and select Disney locations when the Inkdark set is released on February 12, 2027.
Disney Lorcana TCG
The last Disney Lorcana set was the Hyperia City Set, which brings Coco and a new Ink Drop Mechanic to the card game. The October 12 release prompted massive crowds at both Disney Springs and Downtown Disney, both of which implemented virtual queues to manage lines.
Disney Lorcana will also return for the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts in 2027 with exclusive festival offerings, including promo items and gifts with purchase available only at the event. Lorcana activities like the Ink & Find Scavenger Hunt, Collection Quest, and Illumineer’s Lounge will be back.
