Crews continue to add more thematic elements to Tropical Americas, a new land under construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Tropical Americas Main Entrance

There were no scrims blocking the entrance archway from view on our Thursday visit. Since our last update, theming has come a long way.

The archway now has cracked rocky elements all over it. These elements were first outlined with markings so crew members knew exactly where they needed to be.

Near the top of the archway is a section that looks like it will be removed. This is probably where the land’s sign will go.

A wall jutting out from one side of the archway is now made to look like crumbling stone.

Carrousel Queue

In the queue for El Carrusel de los Animalitos, we saw a carved wood column. This is the first theming we’ve seen around the carrousel. Though the column is far away in our photo, Josh D’Amaro shared a look at it earlier this week.

At the time of D’Amaro’s post, we didn’t know for sure where this column was located. It features floral motifs around the center.

Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto

Crews continue to work on the Casita facade for Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto. Several crew members were on the steel structure or in nearby lifts when we took photos.

Further in the distance, more crew members were working on the mountains that help mask the ride’s show building.
