4K Alice in Wonderland Screenings at El Capitan Theatre

The El Capitan Theatre is celebrating its centennial with an all-new 4K restoration of the 1951 Disney animated film, Alice in Wonderland.

The event runs from Friday, November 6 through Wednesday, November 11. Showtimes are from 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $19 for all ages, but drop to $8 on Tuesdays. More information about the screening and how to purchase tickets can be found on the El Capitan Theatre website.

Alice in Wonderland follows the journey of Alice as she falls into the mad world of Wonderland and meets eccentric characters like the Mad Hatter, White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, and the Queen of Hearts.

The animated film is celebrating its 75th anniversary, and special merchandise themed to the Wonderland game of croquet was released at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World. Wondrous, a young adult novel by Heather Fawcett that follows teenage Alice back down the rabbit hole, was published this month as well.

In addition to showing movies, the El Capitan Theatre also hosts events, like the recent two-night “Created in L.A.” event that brought over 350 content creators, innovators, and industry leaders together to brainstorm and build relationships with each other.
