Old Port Royale was completely renovated in 2018, and not much has changed since then. With no additional details beyond general construction, it’s unclear what Disney has planned for the area.

Disney has also filed permits for other maintenance projects at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, including a water tank replacement for the pool near the Jamaica buildings and roof replacements earlier this year.

The resort will also see a temporary transportation change next year, as the Disney Skyliner is scheduled to close for refurbishment from January 24, 2027 through January 30, 2027. Complimentary bus service will be available during the closure.
