Anaheim Police Sgt. Eric Anderson told the Los Angeles Times that the man was a “transient” known to the police department.

He was discovered unconscious Sunday afternoon on a sidewalk at the resort’s south entrance off Katella Avenue. The area was closed while police officers and coroner’s officials handled the scene.

Anderson said the man appeared to have died of natural causes. No foul play is suspected.
