Crews removed more scaffolding from the front of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this weekend.
Tower of Terror Scaffolding

Since our Friday update, crews have taken down several levels of scaffolding below The Hollywood Tower Hotel sign. The lightning strike scarring across the facade was repainted after years of fading to gray. Though the refresh is more obvious above the hotel sign, it appears to have also been repainted below.

The scarring across the lower half is less colorful but still stands out more than it did before refurbishment. There is clear shading across the fake crumbling building, where walls appear to have fallen away in front of the elevator doors.

There is still scaffolding around the base of the tower, as well as on the back and side. Refurbishment began back in May but was first focused on the queue and then the facade of the gift shop. Scaffolding didn’t begin inching up the tower until August.

The ride has continued to operate during the exterior work.
