What Disney World Rides Are CLOSED in November 2026?

November brings the start of the holiday season to Walt Disney World! With Halloween soon behind us (cue the violins), Disney is getting ready to deck the halls across all four theme parks and resort hotels. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights return, EPCOT prepares for its International Festival of the Holidays, and Christmas decorations, seasonal entertainment, and festive treats begin popping up throughout the resort. Of course, November also brings a few attraction closures and refurbishments to keep in mind when planning your next Disney World visit!

Magic Kingdom

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – CLOSING November 2

You’ll need to skip that trip to the bayou! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will temporarily close for refurbishment beginning November 2. The Magic Kingdom attraction, which opened in 2024, currently has a scheduled reopening date of December 18, just ahead of the busiest stretch of the Christmas season.

Carousel of Progress – CLOSED for Extended Refurbishment

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress closed in July 2026 for one of the biggest updates in the attraction’s history, and it will remain closed throughout November with the current reopening timeline of spring 2027.

The attraction’s timeline is jumping forward by 60 years, with scenes representing the 1960s, 1980s, turn of the millennium in 1999, and a possible future. The refreshed attraction will also introduce a Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic during the opening.

Walt Disney World Railroad – Expected to Reopen October 30 / ALTERED ROUTE

The Walt Disney World Railroad has been closed since September 28 for refurbishment, including track replacement at Main Street Station. The current reopening date is October 30, just ahead of November’s holiday festivities.

When the trains return, they’ll continue running in their modified shuttle mode between Main Street, U.S.A. and Fantasyland. Frontierland Station remains closed as construction continues on Piston Peak and Villains Land. The full railroad route will return once the Magic Kingdom expansions are complete.

EPCOT

There are currently no scheduled attraction refurbishments for EPCOT in November!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Good news for Hollywood Studios visitors: there aren’t currently any major scheduled attraction refurbishments on the November calendar!

The Magic of Disney Animation opened in September, bringing the former Animation Courtyard space back to life with character experiences, drawing activities, an indoor playground, and more. And construction work continues on Monstropolis, replacing Muppet*Vision 3D and surrounding Muppets/Grand Avenue areas.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom also has no additional scheduled attraction refurbishments for November. However, a huge section of the park remains unavailable as construction continues on Tropical Americas, which will replace the former DinoLand U.S.A. area.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

If a water park day is part of your November plans, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon remains closed for its annual refurbishment throughout the month, with an expected spring 2027 reopening. Disney’s Blizzard Beach is currently open for the season.

As always, these are the scheduled closures currently listed for November. Attractions can experience temporary or unexpected downtime on any given day, so be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for up-to-date info on closures, reopening dates, and showtimes during your visit. Happy travels!
