When we visited the playground on Monday, October 26, we noticed that the second level was back open, as kids were running around in the netted area. The second level has been unavailable for a very long time, at least over a year.

Children waiting in line to ride Dumbo the Flying Elephant can play in the playground instead of having to stand in line. There is also a seating area for parents and caregivers.

Refurbishment for the playground last occurred in February 2025. After a delayed opening, it eventually reopened in July 2025.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant is located in the Storybook Circus area of Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom.
