The book is written by Phil Szostak, who has written in conjunction with Star Wars art departments since 2008, including on the art books for The Mandalorian TV series. The foreword is by Doug Chiang, Lucasfilm senior vice president and executive design director.
The hardcover book features concept art, sketches, and interviews with key cast, crew, and creatives. It explores the visual development of characters, locations, and vehicles, Variety said. They shared the following exclusive spreads from the book.
Released in theaters this past May, The Mandalorian and Grogu is a movie follow-up to the Disney+ series The Mandalorian. Directed by Jon Favreau, and co-written by Favreau and Dave Filoni, the movie saw Din Djarin and Grogu hunting down Imperial warlords scattered throughout the galaxy following the founding of the New Republic.
The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu will be released on November 3, 2026. Pre-order it now discounted to $46.60 on Amazon.
