Disney Cruise Line has introduced new accessibility enhancements across its fleet and island destinations, including haptic vests for silent discos and tactile guidebooks.
Disney Cruise Line Haptic Vests

Guests who are deaf or hard of hearing can experience the energy of silent disco parties through haptic vests. These wearable devices turn music and sound effects into physical sensations. The vests are now available on all Disney Cruise Line ships at silent disco events.
Last year, Disneyland Paris was the first European theme park to introduce these vibrating vests at musical experiences.
Tactile Guidebooks

Disney Cruise Line has also added braille and tactile guidebooks for guests with visual disabilities. These are available fleetwide upon request, including at Guest Services, Disney Castaway Cay, and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
The guidebooks feature tactile maps and venue information designed to help guests better navigate the ship and island destination layouts.
“Previously, a guest who is deaf or hard of hearing could see a silent disco happening around them. Now they can feel it. A guest who is blind or has low vision can understand the layout of a ship or an island,” said Maura King, manager of accessibility at Disney Cruise Line. “Accessibility is built into the experience at Disney Cruise Line — from ship design to onboard services — helping ensure guests of all abilities feel supported throughout their vacation.”
Accessibility options on Disney Cruise Line also include accessible staterooms, captioning on Funnel Vision, accessible transfer to AquaMouse on Wish-class ships, assistive listening systems, sand wheelchairs, and excursions designed to accommodate guests with limited mobility.
Guests with questions about accessibility offerings or accommodations may submit a Special Services request form prior to sailing or contact Disney Cruise Line’s Special Services team for more information.
