A heartwarming moment of a father helping his child cross the finish line at the runDisney 2026 Wine & Dine Half Marathon 5K event at Walt Disney World has made its way to social media.
Dad Helping Child Cross RunDisney Finish Line
User @littlevickyk shared a video on Instagram of a father and a few others helping their family member out of a wheelchair and walking with them across the finish line, where the crowd cheered them on.
“Look at Logan, right there,” a worker with a microphone said. “That is why this finish line is different than any other finish line in the world, because he will fight for this. … I have watched this kid in therapy. I have watched them work hard. Logan, you did it.”
The user’s caption said:
“The @rundisney family is truly a great one! A supportive husband was at the finish line waiting to see his wife cross the finish line for her first Run Disney race and he caught this amazing moment. Social media made this possible! This is what it should be about.
Thank you again to everyone who made this day possible @carissa_gway @ryfass @nextstep_orlando

The races during the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend 2026, which took place from October 22 to October 25, were themed to The Aristocats, The Three Caballeros, and Mary Poppins. The Two Course Challenge was Grumpy-themed. Check out the different medals given out this year.
The weekend’s 5K faced criticism as it was Disney’s first timed 5K, with “balloon ladies” setting the pace and long character lines.
