Olaf Draws! at The Magic of Disney Animation in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is once again operating in B-mode.

When the Olaf animatronic is having trouble, drapes block him from view and a different version of the pre-recorded segment plays with the animator acknowledging Olaf’s absence.

The experience typically features an Olaf animatronic hosting the experience from an animator’s desk alongside the pre-recorded videos. During the experience, Disney animators guide guests and Olaf through drawing iconic characters.

On Tuesday, October 27, we took the Dan Abraham class learning how to draw Mickey Mouse in B-mode. Instead of an interaction with the snowman, Abraham says Olaf is taking a beach day.

We don’t know how long the Olaf animatronic is expected to be down.

Abraham is the director of Once Upon A Studio, the short film that The Magic of Disney Animation is based on.
