REVIEW: Columbia Harbour House Introduces New & 'Reimagined' Fish, Shrimp, & More to Magic Kingdom

We reviewed the four new and reimagined menu items, including fish, shrimp, and an updated Boston Cream Pie, at Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom.

Columbia Harbour House New & 'Reimagined' Menu Items at Magic Kingdom

Columbia Harbour House is located in Liberty Square. The quick-service dining spot offers a variety of seafood, New England dishes, and some familiar favorites.

Hand-breaded Shrimp Platter – $14.99

Served with French Fries

This basket looks like a kids meal. It only comes with six shrimp and needs at least 10 to be a good value at $14.99. The shrimp is delicious, though. It tastes fresh and homemade. The breading is great. And the French fries here are the big steak fries from The Plaza Restaurant, not Disney’s standard shoestring fries.

Beer-battered Fish Platter – $14.99

Served with French Fries

This comes with two large pieces of fish so it’s a better value than the shrimp. Thankfully, it’s delicious, too. The fish is crispy, fresh, and well beyond expectations for this restaurant. The batter tastes like the batter at Long John Silver’s.

Plant-Based Crab Cake Sandwich – $13.99

Lettuce, Tomato, New England Tartar Sauce, served with French Fries

Imitation crab is usually made of fish so we’re not sure what this plant-based version is. It’s spicy but the texture is weird. It’s crumbly on the outside and mushy on the inside. Still, the taste isn’t bad. We’re not mad about it.

Boston Cream Pie – $5.99

Yellow Cake, Boston Cream, and Chocolate Ganache

The old version of the Boston Cream Pie was described as “Vanilla Cake layered with Vanilla Cream, Chocolate Popping Candies, and Crisp Pearls topped with Fudge Icing and a Cherry.”

This is a huge portion for $5.99. Look at the group photo of the food at the top of this article — it’s about the same size as the sandwich. It’s a good balance of frosting, cream, and cake. The cake is perfectly moist. The Boston cream is fantastic.
