We all love a good Disney World vacation, but it’s the getting-there part that can sometimes be a hassle!
Magic Kingdom
Once you fly into Orlando, there are two things that you need to worry about — getting you and your party to Disney World, and hauling your luggage with you. Well, no need to worry about paying extra for an Uber to bring all your luggage, because Disney actually transfers your luggage to certain Disney hotels. The lists of hotels that offer the perk are limited, but THREE more have just been added!
If you’re staying at select Disney World resorts, then you can get your suitcases delivered straight from MCO to your room for FREE. Now, it’s important to remember that this isn’t for everyone. Disney only offers this for guests staying at certain hotels and who fly on four participating airlines (American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, and JetBlue).
Port Orleans Riverside Resort
As for the hotels, Disney’s Airport Luggage Transfer service has now expanded to three more Moderate Resorts. That includes Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort (including Gran Destino Tower), Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.

That now brings the total Disney World hotel list participating in Disney’s Airport Luggage Transfer to nine, including:
- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort & Gran Destino Tower (NEW)
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter (NEW)
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside (NEW)

So, how does Disney’s Airport Luggage Transfer work? Well, it allows you to send your luggage directly to your Disney hotel room, skipping baggage claim on arrival entirely. It also allows you to skip the check-in line at the airport when you leave. To take advantage of this, you need to register for the service between 30 days and 24 hours before your flight. You’re going to need your resort confirmation number and your flight confirmation number, which will be in your email.
Disney’s Art of Animation
If you register more than seven days before your trip, you’ll get your luggage tags in the mail. If you register closer to your trip, you won’t get tags, but your bags still get delivered. You’ll be able to track them through the link in your confirmation email. After you check in for your flight, pay any baggage fees, drop your bags off like you normally would, and head straight to your Disney resort after you land. Don’t worry about heading to baggage claim after landing. Your bags should reach the resort around 4 hours after your flight’s arrival. You can pick them up at Luggage Assistance/Bell Services in the lobby, or call from your in-room phone to have them brought to your room.
